King, James
James King, 67, of Blue Grass, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Genesis East Hospital, Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park.
He was born July 14, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Ruth Trembley. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Ross on March 13, 1969, in Marion. James was employed as a printer for Fidlar Printing in Davenport.
He enjoyed playing cards. James was active in the Davenport Moose Club, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed WWE World Wresting Entertainment and cowboy movies.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Ruth; son, Jeff (Shelie) of Lowden; daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Griffin of Davenport; six grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Maryah, Sheen, Cameron and Tanner; and a sister, Evelyn Miller of Cedar Rapids.
