Bethany "Blaze" Grace Clark, 18, and her son, Roran Pierce Clark, 2, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, due to a motor vehicle accident.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at First Congregational Church, Belle Plaine, with Pastor Kate West officiating. There will be a time for remembrance and fellowship in the church basement following the service until 6 p.m.
Bethany, the daughter of Timalee Clark and Matthew Clark, was born April 5, 1997, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bethany was home-schooled and later received her GED. She worked in sales and as a telephone rep.
On June 5, 2013, she was joined by the light of her life, Roran Pierce, the son of Bethany and Cole Thomas Gray. Roran was full of life – he was the sweetest little boy, with an amazing billy goat laugh.
Bethany was a free spirit who loved to change her hair color; she enjoyed music, while Roran was a big fan of the movie "Cars," taking showers and water fights. Bethany and Roran were a team; he was her life.
Family includes parents of Bethany, Matthew (Shari Teneyck) Clark and Timalee Clark, both of Belle Plaine; father of Roran, Cole Gray of Cedar Rapids; Roran's grandparents, Ronietta (Ron) Ricklefs and Rodger (Cara) Gray, both of Cedar Rapids; Bethany's significant other, Logan Weldon of Belle Plaine and close friend, Darrien Purk; Bethany's birth parents, Stacey Vileta of Brooklyn and T.H.
