Clark, W. Wayne
W. Wayne Clark of McKinney, Texas, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at the age of 67.
He was born March 23, 1944, to Donald and Eleanor (Hoge) Clark in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Wayne served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969. He grew up in Iowa and moved to Parker, Texas, in 1978. Wayne worked for Collins Radio as a facilities engineer. He was a former Parker City Council man. In August 2001, he retired after 40 years of employment with Collins Radio, Rockwell and Alcatel. After retirement, he owned and operated Wayne's Fix-it, a handyman service. Wayne's hobbies included the art of stained glass.
He is survived by his children, Matthew Clark, Laurie Christiansen and husband Brad, and their mother Carole Clark, all of Plano, Texas; granddaughter, Taylor Christiansen; mother, Eleanor Clark of Anamosa; brother, Paul Clark and wife Carol of Dubuque; niece, Tana Tesdall and family; and nephew, David Clark and family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Inurnment, with military honors, will immediately follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
