Irene E. Clark, 100, died Aug. 27, 2015, at Waterford Assisted Living facility in Lincoln, Neb. She was formerly a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 29, starting at 2 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with visitation beginning one hour before at 1 p.m.
Irene was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Harrison County, Mo. She and her late husband, Vernon N. Clark, were married for 57 years before his death in 1992.
She also was preceded by her parents, three sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen L. Harford and her husband, James, of Lincoln, Neb.; a son, David Clark and his wife, Mary Lue, of Arkansas; grand-children, Kevin (Sonia) Harford and Jeffrey (Denise) Harford of Lincoln, Neb., and Michael (Lana) Clark and Kimberli Clark of Zion, Ill.; six great- grandchildren, Lauren, Kallie, Michaela and Anna Harford of Lincoln, Neb., Geoffrey Clark of Zion, Ill., and Katherine Clark of St. Augustine, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Irene was a humble and faithful servant of God throughout her life and was noted for her kindness, compassionate care and prayers for her family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and many others.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, where she will be buried at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
