Clark, William T. 'Bill'
William T. “Bill” Clark, 63, of 117 Fifth St. NW, Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, at his home after a short illness. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Carla Burge will officiate. Burial, with military rites, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; his children, Angie (Steve) Climer of Vinton, Ronnie (Kelley) Clark of Minnesota, Mike (Lisa) Clark of Anamosa, and Michelle Eberhardt and Rhonda Clark, both of Cedar Rapids; brothers and sisters, Leland (Donna) Swenson of Van Horne, Allan (Tracy) Clark and Glenn (Gerry) Clark, all of Marion, Sue (Lester Bailey) Clark and Mary Kourtis all of Cedar Rapids; stepchildren, Amber (Jon) Dinnel of Iowa City, and Michael Stoddard of Cedar Rapids; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gene and Archie; one sister, Kathy; and three sons, Bill Jr., Robert and Scott.
Bill was born on April 8, 1947, in LeRoy, Minn., the son of Robert and Mae Thompson Clark. He married Beverly A. Vredenburg on Jan. 9, 1990, in Rock Island, Ill. She passed away in 2007. He then married Donna Baze on March 8, 2008, in Cedar Rapids.
Bill was a heavy equipment operator for several local construction companies and proudly served in the marines during the Vietnam War. Bill enjoyed life and the time he spent with his beloved family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
