VIDEO: Kirk Ferentz and Zach Johnson after Johnson's first-round 68 at John Deere Classic

Jul. 12, 2012 1:16 pm
SILVIS, Ill. -- Imagine being within 75 miles of Iowa City and seeing Kirk Ferentz follow someone around instead of vice versa.
It happened Thursday morning when Ferentz was among the many fans who were in Zach Johnson's gallery at the John Deere Classic.
It was University of Iowa Day at the JDC, but Ferentz was here more to walk 18 holes at TPC Deere Run and see his Hawkeye football team's biggest fan on the PGA Tour. He saw Johnson shoot a 3-under-par 68.
I'll have a column about all the meeting of two of Iowa's top sports figures later this afternoon. In the meantime, here's my video of Johnson and Ferentz meeting after Johnson did his post-round interviews.
