O'Kelly, Marie K.
Marie K. O'Kelly, 98, of Marion, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at her daughter's home in Decorah. Funeral Services: noon Saturday, May 26, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion with Mike Schultz officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Fred) Brown of Decorah; her son, Kenneth “Bud” O'Kelly of Marion; eight grandchildren, Jeff Brown, Mike Brown, Debbie Schultz, Tim Brown, Chad O'Kelly, Jay O'Kelly, Kasey O'Kelly and Brian Clark; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Anna Clark; and three brothers, Erling, Elmer and Walter “Junior” Larsen.
Marie was born Dec. 18, 1913, the daughter of Walter and Anna (Thompsen) Larsen in Alburnett. On April 30, 1937, she married DeVer O'Kelly. He died Feb. 19, 1989. Marie worked at Killians at Lindale Mall for over 20 years.
Marie was an avid Cubs fan but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family.
