Eastern Iowa All-Star Game prep hoops double-header Wednesday at Kirkwood

CEDAR RAPIDS - Kirkwood Community College will again host the annual Eastern Iowa All-Star Game prep basketball double-header Wednesday night at Johnson Hall.
The twin bill features many of the top boys' and girls' senior players from the area and is put on by Elite Sports USA of Iowa City. The girls' game tips off at 6 p.m., with the boys' game to follow at approximately 7:30.
Tickets for the event are $6 for students and $8 for adults and will be available at the door.
The featured boys' game participant is Dubuque Wahlert's Cordell Pemsl, the University of Iowa signee. He will be on a North team that also includes Wahlert teammate Riley Till, Linn-Mar's Jared Printy, Cedar Rapids Xavier's Mitchell Burger, Cedar Falls' Tra'Von Fagan, Waterloo Christian's Tim Doering, Clinton's Derrick Howard, Anamosa's Kolin Schulte, Dyersville Beckman's Colin Squires, Bellevue Marquette's C.J. Michels and Cascade's Devin Green.
The South roster consists of Eli Gingerich (Iowa Mennonite), Nathan Stenger (Iowa City Regina), Tommy Hook and Connor Herrmann (Mount Vernon), Wali Parks (Iowa City West), Streeter McIlravy (Solon), Will Mertens (Van Buren), Derek Anding (Washington, Iowa), Will Carius (Pleasant Valley) and Micah Martin (Iowa City High).
On the girls' side, the North team will consists of Maci Griffith (Vinton-Shellsburg), Joniqua Clark and Anne Visser (Cedar Rapids Washington), Taylor Schuring (Decorah), Arika Wooldridge (Center Point-Urbana), Alecia Kimball (Dunkerton), Charlotte Flynn (Dubuque Wahlert), Taylor Huber (Alburnett), Morgan Boer (North Linn) and Megan Maas (Western Dubuque).
Cedar Rapids Kennedy's Sydney Hayden and Lela Sellers, Cedar Rapids Xavier's McKenna Anderson and Cedar Rapids Prairie's Olivia Usher are on the South team. Other players are Allyson Simpson (West Branch), Janey Botkins (Durant), Riley Kilbridge (Burlington Notre Dame), Alyssa Wiebel (Benton Community), Courtney Joens (Iowa City High) and Jolissa Kriegel (BGM).
