CEDAR RAPIDS – Prairie wrapped up the MVC Mississippi Division baseball title Friday night with a sweep of Dubuque Wahlert.
Down to their last out in the opener, the Hawks rallied with three runs to come out on top, 6-5, a result that clinched them the division.
Nic Mougin's RBI double to deep left tied the score at 5 and Cooper Reittinger singled in the winning run.
The Golden Eagles had taken control in the top of the seventh when Jud White ripped a base hit down the right field line to plate two.
Prairie won the nightcap, 8-1, to improve to 28-6 overall and 21-5 in the conference. Wahlert is now 16-18.
The Hawks' softball team also won the Mississippi Division this summer.
