Parkinson, William P.
William P. Parkinson, 79, of Marion, died Friday, July 27, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Per his wishes, William will be cremated, and there will be no services. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Norma of Marion; a daughter, Kim (Tony) Theis of Marion; a sister, Emily Maxworthy of New Jersey; and two nieces.
William was born April 19, 1933, in Washington, D.C. He married Norma Walter. William served in the United States Air Force. He was a carpenter for many years. After retiring from carpentry, he worked at the Longbranch in housekeeping.
