JOAN MCCURRY
Grinnell
Joan L. McCurry, 92, of Grinnell, died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at noon, with the McCurry family present from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Grinnell Eagles Auxiliary "kitchen fund" and sent in care of Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
Survivors include her children, Jody (Jon) Knapp of Fountain Hills, Ariz., David (Susie) McCurry of Naples, Fla., and Kirk McCurry of Grinnell; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Joe, Sveta, Chelsea and Payton Rose McCurry; and one great-grandson, Eli McCurry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Faye Beatty; and two brothers, William "Bud" Oltrogge and Jimmy Oltrogge.
