Fiferlick, Patricia L.
Patricia L. Fiferlick, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Iowa Veteran's Home, Marshalltown. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Rob) Richards of Cedar Rapids, Connie (Rodney) Reed of Portsmouth, Va., and Tim Fiferlick of Hiawatha; six grandchildren, Ben Knapp of Portsmouth, Va., Holly (Paul) Patava of Blairstown, Jeff (Erin) Knapp of Newport News, Va., Elissa (Jason) Upah of Cedar Rapids, Melia (Cpt. Josh) Zaruba of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Blake Fiferlick of Hiawatha; six great-grandchildren, Cristian Upah, Caitlin Knapp, Aydin Knapp, Madilyn Knapp, Lily Zaruba and Sophie Zaruba; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Donna Fiferlick of Marion; and her Card Club buddies, the Benedicts, Kurths and the Stancils.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Maurice on July 31, 2006.
Patricia was born April 13, 1929, in Eldon, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and LaVern (Lynch) Wright. She married Maurice Fiferlick in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on Sept. 27, 1947. Patricia was a payroll clerk for Rockwell Collins for many years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed country music and dancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association at 317 Seventh Ave. SE, Suite 402, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401, in Patricia's memory.
