Barbara L. Boesenberg, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 1, 2018. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Melanie Van Weelden of First Congregational Church. A visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park
Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Keith (Kathy) Boesenberg, Philip Boesenberg and Chuck Boesenberg; her brother, Dan (Karen) Trimble; sisters-in-law, Beverly Trimble, Bobette Trimble and Irene Simms; brothers-in-law, Clarence Boesenberg and James Lyle (Joyce) Boesenberg; her grandchildren, Ben (Laine) Boesenberg, Kasie (Matt) Kremenak, Kortney Lombardi, Stefanie (Adam) Harford, Jessica Walby, Chelsea (Jeremy) Jacobs and Koty Boesenberg; and her great-grandchildren, Jared, Remington, Anthony, Marshall, Ayriel, Kellan, Everleigh, Knight, Dash, Jayden and Kyler. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dick, Jerry and Jon Trimble; and stepmother, Eleanor Storck.
Barbara was born April 4, 1931, in rural Marion, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Edna (Cherry) Trimble. She graduated from Springville High School in May of 1948. Barbara was united in marriage to Donald Clifford Boesenberg on July 26, 1953, in Marion, Iowa. He preceded her in death in September of 2001. She worked at Collins Radio and Rockwell Collins, retiring in December of 1990. Barbara was a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society from 2003 to 2011. Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
