Trexler, Charlene G.
Charlene G. Trexler, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. A celebration of life will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at the Shellsburg Legion Hall. Private burial will be at a later date in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Lonnie (Dale) Viner, Vickie (Tim) Noska, Terrie (John) Trachta and Donald (Tina) Schminkey; grandchildren, Tonya (Chad) Shipp, Dale Jr. (Jamie) Viner, Billy Orton, Josh (Candy) Havlik, Tiffany Remington, Don-Don (Jenna) Schminkey, Jacob Schminkey, Alexandrea Olah and Cally (Steve) Moore; great-grandchildren, Travis, Tabitha, Bryce, Wesley, Dallas, Ethan, Adam, Emily, Teagan, Tyler, Austin, Charlie, Braelyn, Jax and Zander; great-great-grandchild, Kayden; and her lifelong friend of 60 plus years, Carolyn Vranish.
She was preceded in death by her mother and husband.
Charlene was born July 3, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Elise Fite. She married Samuel Trexler. Charlene was an avid donor to Breast Cancer Awareness.
