Mildred Busch, 87, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, Grace Lutheran Church, Blairstown, with the Rev. David Rempfer officiating. Private interment: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blairstown. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The casket will remain closed at all times. Phillips Funeral Home, Blairstown.
Mildred was born March 22, 1928, at Blairstown, to William and Caroline (Kimmerlie) Danker. She graduated from Blairstown High School. On Feb. 25, 1951, she was united in marriage to Carl T. Busch at Grace Lutheran Church in Blairstown. Mildred and Carl farmed and raised cattle in the Blairstown area their entire married life. She also worked cleaning houses in the area and making pies for the Brick Haus and the Ox Yoke Inn. Mildred was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, several card clubs, the Jolly Neighbor Club and longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Blairstown. Mildred was honored in 2014 by the American Legion Auxiliary for 73 years of continuous membership.
In her leisure, she enjoyed keeping busy in her garden, quilting and crocheting. Most of all
she enjoyed spending time with her family and
she especially loved her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Steven and Ronald Busch, both of Blairstown; four grandchildren, Andrea (James) Remington of Fairfax, Elizabeth (Gary Haage) Busch of Blairstown, Jacob (Terri Sero) Busch of Newhall and Christopher (Amanda) Busch of Marengo; her great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Owen Remington, Elliot Busch, Taylor, Jennah and Bailee Traynor and Ethan and Emry Busch.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carl.
