LANSING, Mich. — Luis Arraez had three hits and four RBIs to help the Cedar Rapids Kernels past the Lansing Lugnuts, 8-2, Wednesday night at Cooley Law School Stadium.
The game was called in the top of the ninth inning because of rain. Cedar Rapids won the series, 2-1, moving on to play a three-game series at Great Lakes that begins Thursday night.
Nelson Molina added a pair of hits and an RBI for the Kernels (15-11), who scored a pair of runs in the second inning and three each in the third and fifth.
Starting pitcher Andro Cutura (3-1) went the first six innings to pick up the victory. He allowed five hits, three walks and two runs, striking out five.
