Remington, C. Dean
C. Dean Remington, 73, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after an extended illness. Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Mark Eades. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Joann; six children, Douglas C. (Carol) of Marion, Daniel R. (Debra) of Toddville, Pamela K. (John) Hinrichs of Cedar Rapids, Glendon L. (Jamae) of Marion, Rebecca M. (Dale) Forkner of Marion, and Patricia L. (Craig) Breja of Cedar Rapids; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Glendon (Elinor) Remington of Marion, and Gerald (Lena) Remington of Rapid City, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glendon L. and Leona Remington; a brother, Larry J. Remington; sister, Glenda Erickson; infant brother, Glendon Lee Remington; and a great-grandson, John Hinrichs.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dean's honor.
