Highlights from Saturday's area conference wrestling tournaments.

MISSISSIPPI VALLEY: England's second MVC crown powers Prairie to fourth straight team title

WAMAC

Western Dubuque earned the Wamac wrestling crown Saturday in Vinton with 259.5 points.

Independence was second with 198 points and Mount Vernon third with 155.5.

Drew Davis (138), Jake Juhl (160), and Matt McMillan (195) won titles for Independence. Tony Garcia (132) won a title for the Mustangs.

Center Point-Urbana finished eighth and had two champions — Caleb Fuessley (113) and Brock Rathbun (126).

Jacob Reid of Benton Community won at 220, and Nick Hyland of Vinton-Shellsburg won at 145.

TRI-RIVERS

Alburnett won the Tri-Rivers Conference championship with 222 points, edging Lisbon (208) on Saturday at Maquoketa Valley.

Alburnett had seven champions, including Jaymus Wilson (106), Kanan Morris (126), Drake Halblom (132), Tucker Franklin (138), Conner Shulista (152), Bryce Paul (160) and Tanner Sloan (170).

Lisbon had two champions: Cooper Siebrecht (120) and Carter Happel (145)

North Linn was fifth, led by Brock Henderson (113) and Kyler Schott (285).

Other winners included East Buchanan's Griffin Cabalka at 195, Maquoketa Valley's Alec McDowell at 182 and Eric Heims at 220.

RIVER VALLEY

West Liberty topped Camanche to claim the crown at the River Valley tournament on Saturday in Durant.

The Comets scored 232 team points, to 206 for Camanche. Wilton was third (199.5) and Iowa City Regina was fourth (111.5).

Bryce Esmoil at 195 pounds was the lone champion for West Liberty. Camanche crowned three — Nate Thoms (126), Brice Everson (132), and Baylor Crigger (138).

Nick Milder (160) and Jared Brinkman (285) won titles for Regina.

Mid-Prairie finished fifth as a team and had three winners — Duncan McCain (113), Cameron Tolander (170), and Levi Duwa (220).

Other winners included Chase Luensman of Monticello at 106 and Derick Koppes of Cascade at 120.

NORTHEAST IOWA

Waverly-Shell Rock won the NEIC tournament on Saturday in Oelwein. New Hampton edged Charles City for second place.

The Go-Hawks had three champions: Seth Walker (160), Trevor Byram (170), Jamiir Moore (182)

SOUTH IOWA CEDAR

Sigourney-Keota won the SICL title with 203.5 points, outpacing second-place Iowa Valley (169.5) at Montezuma.

Jacob Krakow (138) and Josh Roggentien (220) of Iowa Valley won titles.

Belle Plaine's Dakota Henry (120) and Joey Schwenn (170) also took home gold.
