Two killed in crash south of Tiffin

Two Wellman, Iowa, residents died in a one-vehicle accident early Saturday afternoon.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Mickey Murray, 47, was northbound on Ivy Avenue SW, near 340th St. SW, south of Tiffin at 12:05 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his car, which entered the west ditch and rolled.

Julie Murray, 46, and Nicole Murray, 18, were injured in the accident and taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City by Johnson County Ambulance, the report said.

Mickey Murray died in the crash. According to a funeral home notice Sunday, Julie Murray also later died.

All three were using a seat belt, the report said.
