Ronald Nemmers and Sarah Smith were united in marriage on August 28, 1971, at St. Columbkille's in Dubuque, IA.
They have four sons, Eric of Marion, IA, Tony (Beth) of Anamosa, IA, Scott (Amy) of Volo, IL, and Danny of Chicago, IL. They have two granddaughters Aubrey and Madeline.
The couple celebrated with a family dinner in Dubuque on August 19th.
They will be taking a trip to Italy next summer in celebration of their marriage.
