Man accused of kidnapping, assault

ALBURNETT - Investigators arrested a man from Washington state early Saturday morning after they said he kidnapped a woman and sexually assaulted her near Alburnett.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office said Jabari Walker, 32, of Seattle, forced the woman into his car at the Motel 6 in Coralville.
Walker then apparently drove the 42-year-old woman to an abandoned farm at 3370 Alburnett Road in Alburnett, where he sexually assaulted her just after 2:30 a.m.
A law enforcement official passing by noticed the car and was able to stop the assault.
Walker faces charges of 1st degree kidnapping and 3rd degree sexual abuse. The Linn County Sheriff's Office and the Coralville Police Department are investigating the case.
