Girls' track & field 2018: Area individuals to watch

Mid-Prairie's Anna Hostetler swept the 2A 800, 1,500 and 3,000 last year

Top returning girls’ track and field individuals for the 2018 season, with last year’s state finishes:

Autum Barthelman, sr., Sigourney — Class 1A champion in the 100 hurdles and shuttle hurdle relay, 2nd in the 100, 4th in the 400 relay.

Summer Barthelman, jr., Sigourney — Class 1A champion in the 400 hurdles and shuttle hurdle relay;, 4th in the long jump and 400 relay.

Corinne Gadient, jr., Anamosa — Competing last year for Monticello, she was on the Class 2A champion 3,200 relay, 2nd in the 800, 3rd in the distance medley relay.

Haley Heitman, sr., Clayton Ridge — Class 1A champion in the 200, 3rd in the 100.

Paige Holub, sr., Monticello — Class 2A champion in the 3,200 relay, 3rd in the 800, 4th in the 1,600 relay and 6th in the 1,500.

Anna Hostetler, sr., Mid-Prairie — Class 2A champion in the 800, 1,500 and 3,000, 2nd in the 3,200 relay.

Marie Hostetler, soph., Mid-Prairie — Class 2A runner-up in the 1,500, 3,000 and 3,200 relay. 5th in the 800.

Adrianna Katcher, soph., Center Point-Urbana — Class 3A runner-up in the 3,000, 3rd in the 1,500.

Grace Martensen, jr., Benton Community — Class 3A champion in the 100 hurdles and shuttle hurdle relay, 2nd in the 800 relay, 3rd in the 400 relay.

Elizabeth Masten, sr., Benton Community — Class 3A champion in the shuttle hurdle relay, 2nd in the 800 relay, 3rd in the 400 relay, 7th in the 100.

Ellie Masten, sr., Benton Community — Class 3A runner-up in the 800 relay; 3rd in the 400 relay; 5th in the 100 and 7th in the sprint medley relay.

Rylee Menster, sr., Springville — Class 1A champion in the long jump, 5th in the 200, 8th in the sprint medley relay.

Katie Nimrod, sr., Decorah — Class 3A champion in the 400 hurdles, distance medley relay and 1,600 relay, 5th in the 3,200 relay.

Bailey Nock, sr., Iowa City West — Class 4A champion in the 1,500, 3,000 and distance medley relay, 4th in the 800.
