Iowa’s Josey Jewell, Josh Jackson are first-team all-Big Ten

CHICAGO - Iowa's Josey Jewell and Josh Jackson earned first-team all-Big Ten football honors Tuesday from the coaches and media, the league announced.
Jewell, a senior, was a first-team pick at linebacker and Jackson, a junior, earned first-team selection at defensive back. Jewell was named winner of the Jack Lambert Award as the nation's top linebacker on Monday and Jackson won the Jack Tatum Award as the nation's best defensive back earlier Tuesday. Both awards are from the Touchdown Club of Columbus.
Iowa defensive lineman Anthony Nelson was a third-team pick by the media.
Only the defense and special team selections were announced Tuesday. The offense will be announced Wednesday and individual award winners on Thursday.
Iowa's Nathan Bazata, Nelson and Ben Niemann were honorable picks by the coaches, and Bazata and Nieman were honorable mention media selections.
