Cedar Rapids police investigating Thursday afternoon shooting
CEDAR RAPIDS — One person was transported to the hospital after a shooting Thursday afternoon.
Cedar Rapids police responded to the 300 block of 15th Street SE around 3:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired. City spokeswoman Maria Johnson said one male was transported to the hospital and his condition is unknown. She said no arrests have been made and this appears to be a targeted crime.
According to KCRG-TV9, Cedar Rapids police escorted two men out of the house where they say another man was shot this afternoon.
This is an ongoing investigation and police hope to have more information to release Friday.
