Eastern Iowa parents can find a wealth of camps and programs to keep their kids active and engaged each summer.

Remember, many camps fill quickly. Check with each organization for most up-to-date registration information.

The Arts & Crafts Place

Boy Scouts of America, Hawkeye Area Council

  • The Iowa Skippers are made up of 50-plus students in fourth through 12th grade. The team performs at more than 30 school assemblies each year as well as at other venues and parades. Students who are interested in becoming skippers must attend the group’s summer camp and try out. The camp will be June 6 to 8, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. for kindergarten to second grade, 8 to 11:30 a.m. for third to eighth grade. Cost is $45.
