Offical Rules & How To Play:
On Sunday, July 27, a BINGO card will be inserted into The Gazette newspaper.
Beginning Monday, July 28, two BINGO numbers will be published in The Gazette
Monday through Saturday. If a number appears on your card, use a dauber,
highlighter, crayon or pencil to color in the number.
Make sure that the number on the card remains legible or your card will be
disqualified. Each card also has a unique number contained in the "FREE" box
on the BINGO card. This number must be intact for validation.
How to play
Once you have covered all 24 numbers on the BINGO card, return the card to
The Gazette office at 501 2nd Ave SE, Cedar Rapids IA 52401 during business
hours Monday through Friday 8am-5pm for validation.
The first person to submit a validated BINGO card is the winner of $1000. In the
event there is more than one winner present at the time, the winner will be selected
by random drawing. The first person to present their BINGO card with a valid
horizontal, vertical or diagonal will receive a $100 gift card.
Once all prizes are awarded, no additional numbers will be published and an ad will
run in The Gazette announcing that the game is over.
No purchase required to play
To participate without purchase, stop by The Gazette at 501 2nd Ave SE, Cedar Rapids,
during regular business hours to pick up a game card. Limit one per person. Published
numbers will be available at The Gazette after they have been published. Numbers can also
be found online at www.TheGazette.com/BINGO. Remaining rules can be found here,
which are incorporated into these rules. Numbers will not be available by phone.
Employees and independent contractors of The Gazette are not eligible for prize claims.
Winners must be at least 18 years of age. All winners must provide proof of identification.
Prize winners will be responsible for tax liability.
Only original Gazette BINGO cards will be accepted. Any photo copy or reproduction of
the card is invalid. Not responsible for lost, late, mutilated or otherwise undeliverable mail.
Entering The Gazette BINGO constitutes acceptance of all rules and permission by entrant
for his or her name and photograph to be used at no charge for reasonable news and
Decisions of the judges are final. Contest void where prohibited by law. All federal, state
and local laws apply. Odds of winning dependent on number of entrants. Prizes will be
awarded within 14 days of the end of the game.
