CORALVILLE — Imagine that. Another Wolverine-Wolfpack excursion.
The seemingly inevitable Class 2A championship matchup will happen again: No. 1 Dike-New Hartford vs. No. 2 Western Christian.
Two-time defending-champion DNH breezed through some minor turbulence at the beginning of the second set and handled No. 4 Hinton, 25-14, 25-20, 25-11, in a 2A semifinal at the state volleyball tournament Wednesday afternoon at Xtream Arena.

“I think we played better today (than we did in Tuesday’s quarterfinals),” DNH Coach Diane Harms said. “We cleaned up a few things.”
The Wolverines’ final point on Court 1 occurred within seconds of Western Christian’s winner (against Eddyville EBF) on Court 2.
DNH and Western have combined for the last 13 2A championships. The next edition in their rivalry is 4:45 p.m. Thursday.
“It’s a quality program with a great tradition,” Harms said of the Wolfpack (42-5). “We’re going to have to step it up.”
The Wolverines (44-2) quickly stepped it up after falling behind 6-1 in the middle set. They tied it at 14 and 15, then Jadyn Petersen’s kill put DNH ahead to stay.
“We got down, but kept our composure and we able to even it up, then go ahead,” Harms said.
