IOWA CITY - Months after first revealing mock-ups of Iowa City's City High School after $30 million of renovations and additions, the Iowa City Community School District published a 'fly-through” video of the coming changes Wednesday.

The video shows the 1938-built high school with new plazas, a grand outdoor staircase, new basketball court and cafeteria.

Construction on the project is expected to begin this spring, and the $30 million project is mostly funded by a $191.5 million GO bond approved by voters in 2017.

Renovations at City High are scheduled to be completed by winter 2021.
