Bump’s opens new restaurant concept at Finkbine Golf Course

IOWA CITY — Bump’s Restaurant at the University of Iowa’s Finkbine Golf Course has reopened with a new food concept.

On Sept. 14, Bump’s Restaurant became Bump’s BBQ, Burgers, and Beer. The new menu served at the Nagle Family Clubhouse focuses more on smoked meats, traditional barbecue sides, certified Angus beef burgers and a wide selection of craft beer.

The change comes after the restaurant reopened in June 2021.

Executive Chef Dan Naso, Bump’s new chef, created the restaurant’s Midwest-style of barbecue, influenced in part by styles across the country including northern Georgia, Memphis, Kansas City, the Carolinas, Louisiana and St. Louis.

Bump’s will keep its popular tenderloin sandwich.
