Iowa City hosts United World Wrestling Men’s Freestyle World Cup on Saturday and Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The dual-meet event begins at 10 a.m. both days. Here’s a glance at Team USA.

61 KG (134 pounds)

Kendric Maple

• Age: 26

• Hometown: Lincoln, Neb.

• Wrestling Club/Training Center: Titan Mercury/Nebraska WTC

• Prep career: Two-time Kansas state champion for Wichita Heights High School, posting 154-9 career mark.

• College career: Three-time All-American and four-time NCAA qualifier, winning the 141-pound national title in 2013 for Oklahoma. Finished with 127-25 career, ranking sixth in career victories for Sooners.

• International career: 2017 U.S. Open champion and U.S. World Team Trials runner-up. 2017 Medved International champion.

Joe Colon

• Age: 27

• Hometown: Clear Lake

• Wrestling Club: Titan Mercury/Valley RTC

• Prep career: Two-time state champion for Clear Lake, winning Class 2A 103-pound title in 2007 and 125 crown in 2009. Three-time state medalist, placing third as a junior.

• College career: 2010 NJCAA 125-pound national champion for Iowa Central, All-American and two-time NCAA qualifier at University of Northern Iowa, finishing third in 2014 at 133. Mid-American Conference Champion. Posted 62-6 career mark at UNI, becoming the program’s leader in career winning percentage.

• International career: 2015 U.S. National Team member, third at Cerro Pelado International, 2014 Bill Farrell International champion.

• College career: Four-time NCAA and Big Ten champion at Ohio State, posting 119-3 career mark. 2015 Hodge Trophy winner.

• International career: 2016 World champion, 2017 U.S. World Team member, 2017 Grand Prix of Spain champion, Third at 2017 Pan Am Championships, Outstanding Ukranian Memorial International runner-up and third at Medved International, 2011 Junior World silver medalist.

Joey McKenna

• Age: 22

• Hometown: Towaco, N.J.

• Wrestling Club/Training Center: Lehigh Valley/Ohio RTC

• Prep career: Three-time prep national champion for national champion Blair Academy (N.J.), two-time national runner-up in freestyle, three-time Greco-Roman national champion.

• College career: Two-time All-American, placing third at 141 pounds for Ohio State in March, 2016 All-American for Stanford, placing third as a freshman. Two-time Pac-12 champion. Owns 79-8 career mark.

• International career: 2017 U23 World Championships bronze medalist, two-time U.S. Junior World team member, 2014 Junior World silver medalist, 2012 U.S. Cadet World team member.

James Green

• Age: 25

• Hometown: Lincoln, Neb.

• Wrestling Club/Training Center: Titan Mercury/Nebraska WTC

• Prep career: State champion, two-time finalist and three-time medalist for Willingboro (N.J.) High School, going undefeated his senior season and finishing with 148-8 career mark. Won Senior National Championships.
