How former Eastern Iowa preps and Iowa Hawkeyes are doing in pro baseball

A periodic look at how former Eastern Iowa preps and Iowa Hawkeyes are faring in pro baseball.

Jake Adams (Iowa) — A six-hit week for the first baseman at high-Class A Buies Creek (Astros) bumped his batting average to .190 in 47 games, with five home runs and 18 RBIs. Including his time at low-A Quad Cities, has .235 in 95 games this season, with 13 homers and 49 RBIs.

Nick Allgeyer (Iowa) — Pitcher has not allowed an earned run in his last five outing for Short season-A Vancouver (Blue Jays). Has no record, a save and a 2.61 earned run average in 12 games overall, three starts.

Joel Booker (Iowa) — Outfielder went 3-for-5 Friday night for Double-A Birmingham (White Sox) and is hitting .253 in 46 games for the Barons, with two homers and 11 RBIs.

Tyler Cropley (Iowa) — Catcher is 2-for-12 in four games since his promotion to Short season-A Auburn (Nationals), with an RBI.

Zach Daniels (Iowa/Cedar Rapids Kennedy) — Reliever was promoted last week from Rookie-level Danville to low-Class Rome (Braves), where he threw a hitless, scoreless inning Thursday. For Danville, he went 2-2 with a save and 2.65 ERA in 11 appearances.

C.J. Eldred (Iowa/Mount Vernon) — Has made nine pitching starts for Rookie-level Idaho Falls (Royals), has a 4-2 record and 5.94 ERA.

Nick Gallagher (Iowa/Iowa City West) — Pitcher remains on the DL for low-A Lake County (Indians) with an elbow issue. Has 2-2 record, one save and 4.60 ERA in 14 games, four starts.

Blake Hickman (Iowa) — A 2-3 record and 7.60 ERA in 26 pitching appearances, six starts, for high-Class A Winston-Salem (White Sox).

Korry Howell (Kirkwood Community College) — Shortstop hitting .273 in 18 games for Arizona Rookie League Brewers. Also has nine stolen bases.

Mitch Keller (Cedar Rapids Xavier) — Pitcher went six innings and allowed just four hits and a run in his last start for Triple-A Indianapolis (Pirates). Has 1-2 record and 6.67 ERA in six starts for Indy, though he has 36 strikeouts in 29 2/3 innings.

Mason McCoy (Iowa) — Shortstop has played 105 games for low-A Delmarva (Orioles) and has a .258 average, four homers and 42 RBIs.

Robert Neustrom (Iowa) — A five-game hitting streak has outfielder’s average up to .252 for Short season-A Aberdeen (Orioles). Has two home runs and 14 RBIs.

Nick Roscetti (Iowa) — Infielder hitting .235 in 30 games for high-A Carolina (Brewers). Hitting .292 in 69 games this season for Carolina and low-A Wisconsin.

Tyler Peyton (Iowa) — Relief pitcher picked up his eighth save Friday night for high-A Myrtle Beach (Cubs). Has 3-4 record and 2.55 ERA in 32 games this season, allowing 60 hits in 60 innings.

Brady Schanuel (Iowa) — Has no record, two saves and a 16.88 ERA in five games since being sent to Arizona Rookie League Brewers.

Scott Schebler (Cedar Rapids Prairie) — Outfielder hitting .278 in 76 games for Cincinnati Reds, with 12 homers and 37 RBIs. On the disabled list with a shoulder injury.

Connor Van Scoyoc (Cedar Rapids Jefferson) — Has not appeared in an official professional game, yet, for the Los Angeles Angels.

Keaton Winn (Pekin) — Pitcher has made 11 appearances, five starts, for Short season-A Salem-Keizer (Giants). Has 2-1 record and 4.50 ERA.
