BELOIT, Wis. — The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Beloit Snappers had the first game of their Midwest League Western Division semifinal playoff series postponed by rain Wednesday.

The teams will attempt to play again Thursday night at 6 at Pohlman Field. The remainder of the best-of-3 series will be Friday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

Game 2 will begin at 6 p.m. If a Game 3 is needed, it would follow.

Both of Friday’s games will be seven innings.

Cedar Rapids and Beloit ended the regular season with a three-game series at Pohlman Field, in which the Snappers won the final two games to clinch their playoff spot. The finale Monday night was delayed by rain for over six hours.
