Highlights: Iowa State knocks off No. 21 Oklahoma State

The Iowa State Cyclones earned their third straight victory over a top-25 team on the road, knocking off No. 21 Oklahoma State 48-42 Saturday.

Freshman quarterback Brock Purdy stepped in for Zeb Noland and delivered, completing 18 of 23 passes for 318 yards, four touchdowns and an interception.

Tarique Milton, Hakeem Butler, Matthew Eaton and Deshaunte Jones all hauled in touchdown receptions for the Cyclones (2-3, 1-2).

Purdy also rushed for 84 yards and a 29-yard touchdown, key on a day when the Cyclones were without injured running back David Montgomery.

Taylor Cornelius was 19 of 33 for 289 yards, four scores and a pick for Oklahoma State (4-2, 1-2), but star running back Justice Hill was contained to 66 yards and a TD on 24 carries (2.8 yards per attempt).

The Cyclones host No. 8 West Vriginia at 6 p.m. next week.
