CENTER POINT — Myles Bach, a multi-state champion in distance running, told The Gazette on Friday that he will resume his competitive career next fall at Gonzaga University.

Bach won two championships in the 3,200-meter run and two in the 1,600 at Marion High School, helping lead the Indians to a Class 3A team title in 2017.

He transferred to Center Point-Urbana for his senior season, and won the 3A state cross country title in the fall of 2017 and another 3,200-meter crown the following spring.

After graduation, Bach opted to take the 2018-19 school year off to train.
