The road to Fort Dodge is set. Regional pairings have been released for all five classes by the IGHSAU.
Postseason play begins Monday, July 2 in 2A and 1A and continues Tuesday, July 3 and Friday, July 6 with regional finals set for Monday, July 9. Class 3A competition begins with the quarterfinals Tuesday, July 3, then follows the same schedule as 2A and 1A.
Quarterfinals are Thursday, July 5 in 4A and 5A, with the semifinals on Saturday, July 7 and the finals set for Tuesday, July 10.
Regional champions advance to the state tournament at Harlan Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge, which runs from July 16-20.
In Class 1A, top-ranked, two-time defending champion Lansing Kee hosts the winner of Elkader Central vs. Postville in the Region 4 quarterfinals on July 3. That region features eighth-ranked Lisbon on the other side of the bracket. The Lions will meet the Bellevue Marquette-Easton Valley winner at home in the quarterfinals. No. 9 Sigourney is in Region 5 and will host Tri-County or Keota in the quarterfinals. The Savages are joined by No. 12 Lynnville-Sully in that region.
Defending Class 2A champion Iowa City Regina, ranked No. 8, will host Aplington-Parkersburg or Dike-New Hartford in the Region 6 quarterfinals and could face No. 11 North Linn in the final. The Lynx will take on the Hudson-South Winneshiek winner to begin their postseason. No. 14 Jesup would need to navigate Region 8, featuring top-ranked Durant, to reach Fort Dodge. The J-Hawks start with North Cedar or Tipton at home in the quarterfinals. Durant is on the top side of the bracket and will host Maquoketa Valley or Clayton Ridge.
No. 1 Davenport Assumption, last year’s Class 3A champion, will open with Northeast in Region 8. No. 10 Solon is the top challenger to No. 4 Eddyville EBF in Region 6; the Spartans host South Tama in the quarterfinals. No. 12 West Liberty hosts Columbus Community in Region 7, which features second-ranked Albia in the top half of the bracket.

Independence, the top-ranked team in Class 4A, will host Dubuque Wahlert or Maquoketa in the Region 7 semifinals and is favored to meet No. 14 Western Dubuque in the final. No. 11 Cedar Rapids Xavier could face eighth-ranked North Scott if it gets by DeWitt Central or Iowa City Liberty first in Region 6. Defending champion Winterset is ranked No. 5 and drew Bondurant-Farrar or Des Moines Hoover first in Region 2.
Class 5A No. 1 Cedar Rapids Kennedy is the favorite in Region 6, where it will meet Linn-Mar or Cedar Rapids Washington first. Fifth-ranked Cedar Rapids Jefferson is in Region 5 and will host Waterloo West or Marshalltown; No. 14 West Des Moines Dowling is on the other side. Defending champion Pleasant Valley is in Region 8, along with and 12th-ranked Burlington. The No. 2 Spartans open with Davenport North or Davenport Central.
