CEDAR RAPIDS — Wet conditions have forced the cancellation of the Cedar Rapids Invitational cross country meet Thursday at Noelridge Park.

“I have been in communication with the (Cedar Rapids) Parks Department the last several days about Noelridge grounds conditions,” Cedar Rapids Jefferson Athletics Director Chris Deam said in an email Wednesday morning.

“It was a mess Monday afternoon, before rain Monday night and then again today. I spoke with them today and they informed me that we would not be able to hold the meet.”

Twenty teams were entered.
