5A No. 4 Cedar Rapids Prairie 62, Cedar Rapids Kennedy 37

With two minutes gone in the second quarter Friday night, Cedar Rapids Prairie Coach Josh Bentley called timeout and absolutely went off on his team.

Eight straight points followed, allowing Prairie to take the lead. Then it was a bunch more points after that, as the Class 5A fifth-ranked Hawks rolled to a 62-37 win.

If you’re counting at home, Prairie outscored Kennedy after Bentley’s tirade by a 49-18 margin. That’s pretty good.
