Hawkeyes data: Iowa is vying for its first four-game Big Ten winning streak since it closed the 2016-17 regular-season with four victories. … The Hawkeyes swept their three games last week by 9, 10 and 10 points. They averaged 10 more free throw attempts per game than their opponents in that time. … Iowa has lost four of its last six games against the Nittany Lions, and the last two in State College, the most recent an 82-58 meltdown last Feb. 3 that started a six-game losing streak.

Tyler Cook is the first Hawkeye since James Winters in 1993-94 to get 15-plus points and five-plus rebounds in 10 straight games. Cook and Duke’s Zion Williamson are the only players from Power Five conferences to accomplish the feat 10 straight times this season. … With 21 blocked shots, Nicholas Baer has over twice as many as any other Hawkeye. But four Iowa players totaled six blocks against Ohio State last Saturday, and Baer wasn’t among them.

Nittany Lions data: Penn State has lost its last eight games against teams from Power Five conferences. On Jan. 3, PSU Coach Patrick Chambers shoved player Myles Dread during a game, and was suspended for the following game. … In Big Ten play, the Lions are last in the league in field goal percentage (.382), 3-point percentage (.221), assists-to-turnovers ratio and 3-pointers per game. They average just 58 points per game in conference contests.

Chambers is in his eighth season as PSU’s coach. His Big Ten record is 38-94. Last year was the first time his team didn’t have a losing record in the Big Ten (it was 9-9) and the first time it had a winning overall record (26-13, with an NIT championship). … Sophomore guard Tony Carr turned pro after averaging 19.6 points last season. He was a second-round draft pick of the New Orleans Pelicans. He signed with Italian team Fiat Torino Auxilium, where he averages 13.5 points. … Of returning players, junior forward Lamar Stevens averages 18.6 points and 8.0 rebounds. Senior guard Josh Reaves leads the Big Ten in steals with 2.6 per game. He had five steals and nine assists in the Lions’ 71-56 home loss to Michigan State Sunday.
