Guilford data: The Quakers of Greensboro, N.C., play in the NCAA Division III Old Dominion Athletic Conference. They were 15-12 last season. Their top scorer last season is back. Marcus Curry, a 6-5 forward who averaged 16.2 points, is no relation to NBA superstar Stephen Curry, though both are North Carolina natives. Guilford lost to Division I High Point in an exhibition game last Tuesday, 81-45. The Quakers shot 28.6 percent from the field and had 19 turnovers. ... None of the 10 Guilford players who played at least 10 minutes in that game are taller than 6-foot-6.

What you’ll see: You’ll see the Hawkeyes win a game by more than 20 points for the first time in 2018. More importantly, you’ll see how Luka Garza eases back into action after August surgery, while fellow big men Jack Nunge and Ryan Kriener perhaps pick up the slack while Garza is playing reduced minutes.

Other pertinent info: Tickets for this game are $5 for adults, free for youth and UI students. … The regular season starts Thursday in Iowa City when the Hawkeyes host the Kangaroos of UMKC (Missouri-Kansas City).
