Nate Stanley fired a career-high six touchdown passes and the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-1, 2-1) racked up 40-plus points on the road for the second week in a row Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Ind.
Stanley completed 21 of 33 passes for 320 yards, his six TDs going to five different targets in a 42-16 win over the Indiana Hoosiers (4-3, 1-3).
T.J. Hockenson was on the receiving end of two of those scores and caught four total passes for 107 yards. Fellow tight end Noah Fant produced 101 yards receiving and a TD on four receptions.
Indiana's only lead was 3-0. The Hoosiers trailed 21-10 at halftime. Peyton Ramsey was 31-for-42 passing for 263 yards, a touchdown and two end-zone interceptions (Geno Stone, Jake Gervase). He also had a rushing touchdown.
The Hawkeyes outgained the Hoosiers, 479-330 and averaged 7.4 yards per play to IU's 4.9.
Iowa hosts Maryland next week at 11 a.m. for Homecoming.
