Festival of Trees & Holiday Market

Saturday & Sunday, November 9 & 10

We're excited to be back downtown at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids for the 2019 Festival of Trees! Thanks so our presenting sponsors Alliant Energy and Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors, the event is FREE to attend again this year. The event starts at 10am and goes until 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10. We will be accepting non-perishable food and unwrapped toy donations.

Stroll through the hall of trees and enjoy over 60 decorated trees, ranging it size from 3' to 12'. Almost all trees will be available to take home through the silent auction, with proceeds benefiting local not-for-profits Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, HACAP, Shoes for Kids and Toys for Tots. Last year's donations totaled $12,000 and we hope to increase that amount in 2019. An option on the silent auction will allow you to receive a text if you've been outbid, so you can still participate even if you've already left the event. Plus, you can get your tree delivered to you thanks to Always Moving Forward, our delivery sponsor, who will offer delivery for $30 on Monday, November 11 to any location in the Corridor.

While you stroll through the stage, enjoy live music from a variety of local performers on the stage. When there are not live performers, we'll be rocking holiday hits on LEO 1360 KMJM, a member of iHeart Radio, our 2019 media sponsor.

After you make your way through the hall of trees, visit the holiday market to start your holiday shopping. Over 30 local vendors will be selling their wares including iron outdoor decorations, honey, books, jewelry, candles, and a variety of other products.

Don't forget to bring the kiddos and say hi to Santa and Mrs. Claus! They will be stopping by the event to say hello to all of the good boys and girls. While you wait, take part in The Gazette's annual coloring contest or make an ornament with Kidcreate Studios. Complimentary cookies and cocoa from DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids will be available from 2-5pm both days.

Festival of Trees is produced by The Gazette in partnership with the Cedar Rapids Jaycees.
