Krebs pays the price for being honest

Christopher Krebs, the Department of Homeland Security official who spearheaded a campaign to counter rumors about and eliminating voter fraud, has been fired by Donald Trump. Krebs’s firing came after his agency, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, last week released a statement calling the 2020 election “the most secure in American history.”

CBS “60 Minutes” has featured a segment on this subject. Mr. Krebs gave an enlightening delivery of this committee’s work. Now, the stunner! No one including the media has enlisted the fact that neither Russia, China, or any other invasive country hacked into our election.

The 2016 election series was trampled by this. Mr. Krebs (who was hired by Trump) and his committee were totally successful in keeping these warlords out of our democracy. No wonder Trump fired him. He was not being part of the team to keep the president on board.

This is a sad story of someone doing an honest job and having to pay the ultimate price for being honest. Thank goodness a new day dawns.
