Kavanaugh testimony was troubling

I am deeply concerned about Brett Kavanaugh’s behavior during his opening statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Sept. 27. He was aggressive to the point of belligerence. He was partisan, blaming Democrats for his current predicament. I find it troubling.

There is no way Judge Kavanaugh can be impartial as a Supreme Court justice when a case comes before him that Democrats support. Should he win confirmation, he must recuse himself from all such cases.

Granted, the hearings have been a personal hell for Judge Kavanaugh. I feel badly for him on that account. However, the tears and sobs, had they come from Christine Blasey Ford, would without a doubt have been viewed by all the white male Republicans on the committee as a sign of weakness. It was certainly not befitting a candidate for the Supreme Court.
