The Trumpian term “fake news” has never seemed more valid than it’s been in the wake of the invasion of the U.S. Capitol building.
In a Washington Post article that The Gazette published, the writer claims that Trump exhorted his followers to “charge” the Capitol building. This more than implies that Trump encouraged them to invade it. He did not. Perhaps modern journalists need a guidebook on the use of prepositions, but there’s a difference between marching to something and marching through something. Trump also called for the protesters to behave peacefully. Blaming him for this is absurd. Of course, the leftist media (meaning mainstream media) had trouble finding the same causal relationship between those who encouraged the BLM protesters and its rioters.
In fact, the word rioters appeared to be mostly absent from their lexicons.
