Children are learning all the wrong lessons

Our president has attacked blacks, Hispanics, Latinos, immigrants, Muslims, handicapped people, women, conservation groups, government officials and former and present leaders of our country, just to name a few. No one is off limits at the hand of the leader of our nation. I have to ask the question, “Why do we excuse this behavior?”

We would never let our children exhibit these behaviors, yet we allow this to continue and infiltrate our lives and our families like cancer.

What are our kids and grandkids going to learn from this? How to lie, cheat, bully, attack, belittle, insult, criticize and threaten others?

This is not the example I would expect. I would expect teachers, doctors, protectors, friends and family would be somebody they look up to and feel safe being around. Why would I expect anything different from our leader?

I joined the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam because I felt it was my duty as an American. How can I expect my grandchildren to feel the pride and duty to our country I felt 55 years ago when we have a leader who respects only himself?
