Allegations wouldn't hold up in court

I am mad at the breakdown of logic and precedent of law currently happening with Democrats.

We should not run a country on feelings and hearsay. We cannot have a society where people accuse others without some proof or pattern of improper actions.

As a society and nation, we went through difficult times — the Salem witch trials and the Red Scare of the McCarthy hearings are examples.

Customs and practice dictate the accuser speaks first, and then the accused offers a defense. Burden of proof is a fundamental right to the accused. How can we throw this out the window?

Democrats say we need to take the accuser’s feelings into account because of the nature of the crime or action. I say no. You cannot judge on feelings. This would not stand up in a court of law.

Christine Blasey Ford has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of a crime that happened 37 years ago. It’s been proved scientifically that memory fades over time.

Democrats are using this issue as a stall tactic. They are using the #MeToo movement to besmirch Kavanaugh, who could be innocent. How can we have a society where the accuser can say anything without backing it up? It scares me that rights of justice are being trampled on for political gain.

This is how I feel, and I feel scared for us.
