The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has issued a tow ban for all roads in the county effective until further notice. That means no tow assistance for your vehicle should it need it until the weather clears a bit.
The road map from the Iowa Department of Transportation shows much of Eastern Iowa’s roadway covered in snow. This is unlikely to change soon as the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities is predicting the precipitation (mostly snow in our coverage area) will continue to spread north throughout the evening.
Final snow fall totals are predicted to settle at around 8-10 inches in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area.
