Police: Coralville woman entered neighbor's apartment, attacked victim

CORALVILLE — A Coralville woman faces a felony burglary charge for allegedly entering a neighbor’s apartment and assaulting the occupant.

According to Coralville police complaints, 21-year-old Antonette T. Flowers, who lives on the 900 block of Boston Way, at about 11 p.m. Tuesday entered her neighbor’s apartment and began assaulting an individual inside.

Police said Flowers pursued the victim as he jumped out a window and tried to get into a taxi cab in an attempt to escape.

Flowers told police she did not know whose apartment it was, but said she knew the victim was inside and her intent was to assault him.

Flowers has been charged with a Class B felony for first-degree burglary, which is punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
