Palo man seriously injures hand with fireworks

On July Fourth around 7:19 p.m. the Linn County Sheriff department along with the Palo Fire department and local ambulance service responded to a call for an injured individual at the 4000 block of Old Ferry Rd. in Palo.

Upon arrival, responders found Jeremiah Morris, 41 of Palo. Morris reportedly had received serious injuries to his hand while lighting fireworks. Morris has been transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, according to the release.
