Fire destroys neighboring garages in Cedar Rapids

A morning fire destroyed two neighboring garages in Cedar Rapids on Monday.

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department was dispatched at 2:48 a.m. Monday for a report of two detached garages on fire at 1025 30th St. SE.

No one was injured, but both garages were considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
